Job Description:

• Key contact and owner for all written content (in all formats)
• Producing written content for website, news stories, collaterals and press releases
• In conjunction with team, liaising with media outlets and delivering press releases
• Ensuring written content is proofread and fit for purpose
• Generating engaging content, development of content ideas and engagement strategies

 

 
Skills Range:

Essential criteria for applicant

• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Proven experience in writing for either a consumer brand and/or writing for the 16-24 demographic
• Understanding what makes a good story and maintain an engaging writing style
• Eye for detail & can work collaboratively
• Ability to drive content ideas and generation
• Time management skills/ability to prioritise workload
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience

Desirable criteria for applicant

• Use of Adobe suite of products
• Familiar with Wordpress and working with a CMS
• Familiar Mailchimp and Slack

 
Person Specification:

The candidate will have a strong background in developing and writing marketing collateral, news stories and press releases.

They will ideally have a degree in Marketing, English, Journalism Public Relations or a related discipline. This should be alongside a minimum of three years based in an agency or within an in-house marketing team.

They will be responsible for writing content for print collaterals, website, news stories and adverts. Working with a junior team member they will also be responsible for creating and delivering press releases to education & music industry publications alongside local and national newspapers.

The candidate will be in regular contact with multiple internal and external stakeholders when gathering information for stories and collaterals so must have strong interpersonal skills. Also, they should be able to work closely alongside the wider marketing team to develop synchronised content and communications campaigns.

They will be the key contact for written content at BIMM and be responsible for ensuring copy is proofread, adheres to brand guidelines and is ready for distribution.
