Job Description:

TSR’s recruitment advisor has responsibility for attracting, engaging, hiring and onboarding the very best people to team TSR. We focus on quality, not quantity of applicants and hires for all permanent, fixed term, contractor and temp positions across our sales, marketing and technical teams. A key area will be delivering positive candidate experience and promotion of our brand.

This is a hands-on role that keeps all recruitment activity running smoothly and successfully whilst reporting to, and working closely with, our HR manager. It is an exciting opportunity to help bring about improvements and promote best practice through excellent knowledge and understanding of what great recruitment looks like.

There will be exciting new projects to manage. This includes streamlining and automating recruitment and onboarding, redesigning internal processes alongside training and informing recruiting managers and key stakeholders.

Skills Range:

Recruitment:
- Full responsibility for managing TSR’s end to end recruitment processes from internal and external advertising, right through to job offers
- Create strategies for where and how to advertise and promote our vacancies to ensure we find the very best candidates
- Organise and attend first stage interviews
- Manage and support candidates through psychometric assessments
- Provide feedback verbally and in writing to unsuccessful candidates
- Be the “go to” person for candidates and recruiting managers
- Maintain and develop relationships with PSL recruitment agencies
- Play a key part in identifying improvements and shaping future processes
- Keep all records up to date and accurate

Onboarding:
- Set up offer letters, contracts, references, benefit and payroll documentation
- Welcome new starters by providing advice and support - get to know them individually
- Organise and deliver a new starter induction session on their first day
- Build tailored induction plans and connect new starters with an internal buddy
- Monitor and optimise the quality of induction sessions and the overall onboarding experience

You will also need to:
• Keep employee data up to date using the PeopleHR system
• Understand TSR’s benefit schemes including Scottish Widows pension scheme, private healthcare, life insurance, Ride to Work scheme, child care vouchers, flexible working etc.
• Process and renew DBS checks
• Manage new and existing recruitment and onboarding projects
• Understand OKR’s using our 7Geese system

 
Person Specification:

This opportunity will suit someone who has:
• Previous experience and solid track record from working in a similar recruitment role in a fast paced environment – this is essential
• Clear understanding about what “good” looks like when it comes to recruitment, candidate experience and onboarding
• An ambitious and positive “can do” attitude
• Confident interviewing skills
• Technical experience using online HR systems/databases, plus Microsoft packages
• CIPD level 3 or above (desirable)
• Basic employment law and GDPR knowledge (desirable)

• Clear communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business

• Enthusiasm to generate new ideas and put them into practice
• Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills

• An interest and understanding of the world of technology and digital
• High levels or accuracy and thoroughness to your work
