We provide strategic advice and practical support to museums, galleries and other cultural organisations of all shapes and sizes, in all sorts of ways, with audiences at the heart of everything we do.

 

Job Description:

Are you a knowledgeable and engaged social media user? Culture24 is looking for a Social Media Manager, experienced and confident throughout the paid social process to help launch London’s newest cultural festival. You will be a direct response/performance specialist, able to utilise our paid social budgets to generate ROI and ticket sales in the lead up to the festival in September 2019. You will be highly analytical, with a keen eye for detail and able to contribute to our organic social media with support from the wider team.

While the social strategy has already been developed, we need a highly talented individual to implement and manage it; ideally, someone who is confident in their ability and happy to challenge our thinking and make suggestions to help achieve our goals more efficiently.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join our entrepreneurial non-profit organisation at the beginning of this new festival which is a game changer for the UK cultural sector, set to turn customers’ expectations of what museums are like and who they are for upside-down. You will be working alongside our fabulous partners including Livity, Dice, Big Issue and over 50 of the boldest museums across the capital.

Skills Range:

Overall purpose of role:
To utilise the festival’s paid social media budgets to generate ROI and ticket sales in the lead up to the festival and to contribute to the organic side of our social media presence with support from the wider festival team.


Essential knowledge & experience:

  • Confidence throughout the paid social process, from campaign building, implementing tracking methods, optimisation and reporting (minimum of two years’ experience)
  • Demonstrable track record of positive ROI on paid campaigns
  • In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube (a confident selfstarter who is highly motivated and passionate about social media)
  • In-depth working knowledge of social tools such as Hootsuite, Schedugram, etc needed for the organic side of the social strategy
  • Proven track record of using Facebook Ads manager
 
Person Specification:
  • You are a confident self-starter who is highly motivated and passionate about social media and ready to get stuck in to promote our festival
  • You are highly analytical with a keen eye for detail
  • You are an audience orientated social media marketer with the ability to communicate with the Emerge Festival’s target audience of 18-30 year olds
  • You thrive on working to targets, strict deadlines and using your initiative
 
Key Area: Marketing Marketing
Salary: £150 per day (40 days from May to end of September 2019)
Attendance: Part-Time
