Culture24 is a small and dynamic team of writers, thinkers, producers and publishers who love arts and culture, understand digital and believe that cultural organisations have a vital place in a better world.

Our action research work builds understanding, confidence and skills for arts and heritage people and organisations. We work collaboratively to tackle challenges around adapting to digital change, remaining relevant to audiences and social impact.

We provide strategic advice and practical support to museums, galleries and other cultural organisations of all shapes and sizes, in all sorts of ways, with audiences at the heart of everything we do.

Job Description:

Culture24 is looking for an audience orientated marketer with an up to the minute knowledge of digital media to run our primary communication to launch London’s newest cultural festival. You will need to coordinate, deliver, monitor and report on all aspects of the festival’s audience-facing marketing, as well as contribute to the organic side of our social media presence with support from the wider team.

Whilst the marketing strategy has already been developed, we need a highly talented individual to implement and manage it; ideally, someone who is confident in their ability, with experience and ideas that will develop our thinking and help achieve our goals more efficiently.

Skills Range:

Essential knowledge & experience:

  • Experience of working on successful arts, culture or creative, product or services’ marketing campaigns, particularly in conjunction with ticket sales
  • Understanding of the interactions between marketing and ticketing
  • Experience of creating high quality, well-written customer-focused copy adhering to tone of voice and brand guidelines
  • Experience of managing online publishing systems, via a CMS, particularly in WordPress
  • Experience of delivering organic social media messaging and an in-depth working knowledge of social tools such as Hootsuite, Schedugram, etc needed for the organic side of the social strategy
  • Experience of using MailChimp or similar bulk email delivery service
  • Practical experience of using website and social analytics and insight tools e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook insights etc
Person Specification:

• You are an audience orientated marketer with the ability to communicate with the Emerge Festival’s target audience of 18-30 year olds
• You will enjoy using your up to the minute knowledge of online marketing trends to run our primary communication
• You are a knowledgeable and engaged social media user, up-to-date and eager to learn
• You are able to work well against tight time restrictions, managing your own time effectively and in a structured way
