Job Description:

This exciting role is ideal for an ambitious SEO Analyst looking to take their next leap in the digital marketing industry. addmustard is a fast-paced agency based in Brighton, UK, so the role is perfect for an individual who would welcome a challenging environment and full integration with clients and campaigns.

As SEO Analyst, you will be assisting the team in the running of technical SEO campaigns. You will be performing keyword research, technical web audits, link auditing, conducting weekly/monthly reporting and assisting with ad-hoc tasks when required.

You’ll be working with exciting and varied brands, and your skills will be nurtured and developed. This is a great opportunity to work within a close-knit multi-disciplinary team, working on various SEO projects, as well as day-to-day SEO management. You’ll receive on the job training as well as getting stuck into client activities from day one, With the support of your team, you’ll play an integral part in the successful implementation of campaigns from concept to completion.

Who we’re looking for

• 1-2 years’ SEO experience
• Good organisational skills are essential as well as a drive to take on challenges and a willingness to put in the extra work to get the job done
• Excellent understanding of on- and off- page SEO ranking factors and Google Algorithms
• Have a data-driven, analytical mind, and strong logic skills
• Comfortable with data analysis, solid knowledge of Google Analytics (or other analytics platforms)
• Experience using SEO tools to find opportunities and analyse competitors
• Experience working towards objectives and reporting results
• Good understanding of digital marketing initiatives and a desire to learn more
• Hardworking, flexible attitude and good sense of humour
• Ability to learn new skills quickly

Data analysis
You’ll be responsible for conducting keyword research and analysis, as well as supporting with technical SEO and backlink audits for our client’s websites. Crunching large data sets won’t faze you and you’ll need to have the ability to provide clear actions off of the back of your analysis, using it to target selected groups, and provide insight into the success, or failure, of campaigns.

Technical SEO
Working closely with the Head of Organic and Technical Services Director, you’ll be involved in developing best practice SEO strategies in order to provide your colleagues and clients advice on how to overcome technical obstacles and challenges, and how to implement these changes in order to drive organic growth. You’ll be expected to keep on top of best practices in SEO, new technologies, and ways of workings, as well as support and contribute to technical roadmaps, and own daily technical checks using a wide range of industry tools.

Great writing skills are a pre-requisite, but you’ll also need strong speaking and presentation skills. You will be expected to effectively communicate to your colleagues, within the SEO and Content team and also other departments, to ensure briefs are understood, deadlines are met, and client objectives and performance is defined.

Person Specification:


• A working understanding of development languages
• PPC and brand, or a strong desire to learn
• Previous client side and agency experience is preferable
• A creative flair, and the ability to work alongside and brief our creative team
