Overview of the role

We're looking for a super organised person who loves working with people and getting the best out of them.

As Head of Resource you will quickly make an impact across the whole business, managing the relationships and resourcing of Brightwave's contractors and suppliers across all disciplines. Working closely with our production teams and discipline leads, you will proactively maintain relationships with our outstanding digital learning professionals and manage their availability and deployment across project work and sales activity.

You will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and discipline leads in anticipating demand, co-ordinating resource activity and ensuring that effective recruitment, on-boarding and training are in place for new starters, as well as supporting our amazing permanent team and ensuring that Brightwave continues to be a fantastic place to work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Anticipating demand and ensuring we have the right resources in place to meet our needs
• Management and continuous improvement of Brightwave's processes for managing contractors and suppliers
• Proactively anticipating and helping to resolve clashes and double-bookings
• Proactively working with heads of discipline to source new talent and expand Brightwave's pool of brilliant people and partners
• Maintaining up-to-date information on availability and ensuring that the right people have visibility
• Establishing and maintaining good relationships with the best people in the industry
• Maintaining up-to-date information on performance and quality of work and co-ordinating supplier reviews as required
• Negotiating and agreeing day-rates, terms and contracts
• Ensuring that appropriate induction and training plans are in place and that those plans are followed through
• Proactively working with heads of discipline to source new talent and expand Brightwave's pool of brilliant people and partners

• Working closely with the Head of Quality to ensure we meet our BSI regulatory requirements in relation to supplier and contractor management
• Supporting the COO with ad hoc value add projects and initiatives
• Helping to drive the people agenda and employee engagement strategy forward
• Assisting with first line HR queries.
• Being a Brightwave ambassador at industry and recruitment related networking events

You will have the following skills and attributes

• Experience of managing resources within a digital or production agency is essential
• Resourcing experience of contractors, permanent staff and suppliers.
• Highly organised with the ability to create and adapt effective processes to suit the needs of the business as needed
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• A high degree of gravitas and confidence to influence senior stakeholders
• A professional, dynamic and positive attitude
• Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to build rapport and positive ways of working with our key suppliers and Brightwave's internal stakeholders
