We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and confident Business Development Representative to join our team in Brighton office. If you are a self-motivated, inquisitive person who is confident working in a dynamic and challenging environment, then this is the perfect role for you.

What you will be doing

We need a Business Development Representative to help us to win new clients and build on the commercial energy of our ambitious team. You will be responsible for prospecting new leads, locating contact details, formulating tailored emails and follow up with phone calls, all with the objective of setting up new business meetings.

Another key part of your role will be conducting research around the companies you are prospecting and the sectors they operate in. You will be expected to stay ahead of current events, news, industry events etc. to help feed into your prospecting pipeline.

About You

  • Will be a driven but down-to-earth, personable individual that is able to adapt your style to different personality types and think outside of the box to help meet your objectives
  • Should be great at working independently to meet your targets but also be a team player, understanding how to draw upon the strengths of different members of the team to help meet objectives.

Experience

  • Proven outbound experience, multi-channel selling, including LinkedIn Navigator, pardot marketing campaigns, salesforce, phone etc
  • Building professional relationships
  • Demonstrating the ability to interpret data, articulate material in a clear manner and overcome challenges
  • Working in the financial services sector

Skills

  • An appetite to proactively chase and win new business
  • Proven experience of working to and achieving revenue targets through telephone sales
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of effective telephone sales activity
  • Able to quickly develop knowledge of a new market
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills with an appetite for understanding the needs of business across a range of sectors and specifically, financial services
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Results focussed
  • Team player in addition to working on own initiative
  • Degree level education.
