This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a Programmes and Projects delivery function across two NHS acute provider organisations: Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust (BSUH) and Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (WSHFT).
The Programmes and Projects team is well-established with a number of strategic Healthcare IT projects underway which will significantly improve the digital maturity of both organisations whilst enhancing the quality of care we provide our patients.
The team has an excellent reputation for implementing clinical IT systems, having replaced the PAS in BSUH in just only 9 months and for implementing a new LIMS at WSHFT which won a team award.
This is a delivery-focused role and to be successful you will need to be highly organised, pay attention to detail and be able to manage competing priorities, using your own initiative to solve problems.
You will need excellent communication skills, as you will be managing a team that is distributed across sites and you will need to build relationships across staff groups, always conducting yourself in a professional manor.
Due to the busy and varied nature of the team, it is essential that you are flexible, proactive and responsive to changing demands. You must have experience of line managing staff and helping others to reach shared goals.
