Our busy in-house design team are currently looking for a talented and innovative Creative Designer with great experience in a design studio environment on a 3 months fixed term contract working at our National Cat Centre in Chelwood Gate, Haywards Heath.
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2018 we helped around 184,000 cats and kittens, an average of 500 per day.
The team is responsible for a very wide range of design projects including a quarterly 72 page magazine, large format graphics, social media assets, merchandise, information leaflets, infographics and motion graphics, promotional literature, reports and advertising campaigns.
You will be a creative thinker and problem solver who is adept with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Working knowledge of other Adobe software will be useful. You must able to demonstrate ability to fulfil the whole creative process from concept to creation of final artwork. If you have experience of working within the confines of brand guidelines and the ability to promote brand consistency, that will be a real advantage.
We need a confident communicator who is able to manage relationships with a wide range of colleagues and third party suppliers. You'll need to be at ease with briefing external freelance designers and securing successful delivery of outsourced projects alongside their own creative work. You will be a self-motivated designer who works well under pressure both individually and as part of a team.
