Senior Marketing Manager (maternity cover, fixed-term contract)

Smarter Shows are seeking an experienced senior marketing manager to work on their prestigious Space Tech Expo and Foam Expo brands, on a temporary fixed-term contract basis (maternity cover). The ideal candidate will offer 3+ years of end-to-end B2B multi-channel campaign management experience, hands-on tactical expertise and knowledge, and will have, preferably, worked in the events or business media sectors.

The ideal candidate will have worked on event or business media brands, within a commercial environment, and be able to hit the ground running. They’ll be required to deliver a number of visitor acquisition campaigns (working on the prestigious Space Tech Expo and Foam Expo brands, plus our conference events), working in partnership with a number of experienced Marketing Executives, supported by a Marketing Director. They’ll be expected to take ownership of, and execute, defined multi-channel tactical campaign plans (and the marketing strategies behind these), including some hands-on channel-specific execution responsibilities. The candidate will also have the opportunity to evolve the campaign: where the budget is allocated, how the campaigns are delivered, and the channels used to execute the campaign.

They will be results focused, ambitious, with a great all-round understanding of the key digital marketing channels including email, search, social, display, inbound, alongside excellent planning, communication and organisational skills.

Working in events, it goes without saying they will be a natural multitasker and calm operator who doesn’t get flustered by juggling multiple deadlines, stakeholders, industries and time zones, while staying focused on event targets.
