Head of Insight

Job Purpose

To lead and develop the Insight department’s offering, ensuring that services are highlighted to current and prospective clients, as well as taking responsibility for maintaining valuable Insight output.

Key Responsibilities

  • To represent the Insight team at Senior Management level.

  • To work with the Accounts & Creative teams to develop client accounts.

  • To develop segmentation, targeting and data delivery for clients.

  • To analyse campaign results, test outcomes and supporter LTV for clients.

  • To proactively make recommendations to clients based on insight.

  • To interrogate client data to derive value and improve understanding.

  • To manage annual lead generating benchmarking campaigns.

  • To support the board with ad-hoc analysis on agency utilisation and profitability.

  • To take an active interest in the agency’s IT infrastructure (managed by offsite supplier).

  • To develop internal data processes to ensure data security is central to day-to-day operations.

  • To lead the technical delivery of digital campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, etc).

  • To represent the Insight team in meetings and be competent at presenting to senior stakeholders.

  • To deliver projects on time, communicating updates effectively with other project stakeholders.

Key Competencies

  • Microsoft Office & Google Suite. In particular Microsoft Access & Excel, as well as Google Analytics, Data Studio & Sheets.

  • Experience of using SQL, R and other database orientated programs (Raiser’s Edge preferable).

  • Ability to understand and manipulate large datasets.

  • Strong organisation skills, the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
