Senior Full Stack Developer (Tessello)

As Senior Full Stack Developer, you lead the development of new features, architecture improvements and new client implementations for Tessello, our flagship learning product. You will also provide guidance and mentoring to a small dev team. This is a challenging and interesting role where you will be able to shape the team and lead the technical direction for a growing SaaS product business.

Responsibilities  

  • Developing the Tessello platform – All aspects of development from API integrations to platform scalability. Input on the product roadmap. 

  • Guiding the Tessello developer team – Code review and coaching to develop the team’s technical capability. Help with professional development and recruitment.     

  • Leading overall technology approach – With the support of the Product Manager and CTO, ensure Tessello adopts modern approaches and adheres to standards. 

  • Supporting the full development process – You will be involved from requirements gathering right through to deployment. You will comment on proposals, research the best approaches, and design solutions.  

  • Improving dev team ways of working – We are a busy team, constantly developing our processes using agile and waterfall methodologies. You will identify ways to keep the team productive and happy.  

 

Experience 

  • Experience with the technologies we use: C#, ASP .Net, Entity Framework, SQL Server, JavaScript ES6, React/Redux 

  • Previous role/s as a mid to senior full stack developer  

  • Developing commercial web applications / products 

  • Providing leadership or support to other developers 

  • Delivering client-facing work to deadlines as part of a busy development team 

  • Some client-facing experience, ideally in a technical capacity  

Experience or understanding of learning platforms / technology is a bonus.

 

Location 

The lovely Brightwave office is in central Brighton, right in front of the mainline station, but the whole team are currently working remotely. Longer term, this role can be either based at our office in Brighton or remote. If remote, you would need to be able to travel to Brighton from time to time (subject to safety measures).
