About 15gifts

At 15gifts, we’re obsessed with the psychology of choice. We study the key principles that

drive people to make confident choices on the high-street, and we pour this insight into our intelligent decision-engine technology to replicate the experience online.

Our vision is to lead the field in combining consumer psychology and machine learning to help people make decisions. What’s more, the unique profiles that we collect through our conversational engine can change the way that brands talk to their customers.

We work with some of the world’s leading brands, powering thousands of confident customer decisions every day. Our partners include Verizon, O2, Sky, Virgin Media, EE, BT and Sprint.

We’re a fast-growing company and we’re excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. We’re a team that’s made of driven, ambitious and exceptional individuals and we’re looking for like-minded people to become part of our success story.

About the role

We are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the newly formed Operations Team with a focus on project delivery for new customer builds, current customer upgrades and new product features. You’ll also be responsible for identifying inefficiencies in the current business processes and implementing new efficient and robust ways of working across all functions of the business.

Our technology is already used by some of the largest brands in the world, and we’re only just getting started. This is a pivotal moment to join a company that has a huge opportunity ahead of it.

You'll be responsible for

  • Facilitating the definition of requirements and agreement of the scope of work for projects across internal and external stakeholders

  • Building a business case for each project with input from Commercial and Customer Success teams

  • Capacity planning across all projects aligned to our strategic priorities

  • Being part of a Customer Squad and building project plans, based on capacity, to deliver to our customers’ needs

  • Proactively managing projects from initiation through to go-live

  • Reporting on progress throughout the project to all internal and external stakeholders

  • Reviewing existing business processes to understand the root causes of any issues

  • Defining new efficient processes and embedding these across business functions

The ideal skills and experience

Project Management:

  • Proven project management experience within a technology (ideally SaaS) environment

  • Experience of delivering projects across the full Software Development Lifecycle

  • Experience of using agile and hybrid development methodologies

  • Experience of managing all elements of a project including budget, risks, issues, dependencies, scope, quality and time

  • Comfortable with risk and assumption based project planning

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally with our clients in order to manage stakeholders throughout the project

  • Experience of managing change requests against the agreed scope during project delivery

Sprint Planning, Management and Performance:

  • Encouraging effective backlog grooming and prioritisation with Product Owners, to ensure a steady stream of well specified and documented stories for the sprint teams

  • Leading the collaborative planning process for each sprint

  • Responsibility for measuring burndown, running retrospectives, handling urgent bugs, managing changing requirements, tracking capacity, specifying acceptance criteria and monitoring velocity

Business Analysis / Requirements Definition:

  • Can build business cases, detailing costs and benefits, to gain approval for the project from the Leadership Team

  • Can work closely with the Product Owners, Customer Success Team and our Customers to gather, document and estimate requirements

  • Can define and document requirements unambiguously and communicate these to technical and non-technical team members

Process Efficiency

  • Can process map an existing process, identify issues and their root causes and outline solutions to fix the problems

  • Can measure current process effectiveness and define new measures to see how successful any newly implemented ways of working have been

  • Experience of implementing ongoing mechanisms to monitor process efficiency and look for ways to continuously improve

The person we’re looking for

  • Has a delivery focused mindset and is keen to promote that throughout the business

  • Loves problem solving, seeking out issues and delivering change

  • Proactive self-starter with an entrepreneurial mind-set

  • Excellent communicator – ensuring project progress and planning is highly visible and understood

  • Happy working with technical resources and senior management alike. This will enable issues and progress to be communicated clearly and at the right level

  • Gravitas and interpersonal skills to manage internal and external relationships

  • A desire to be part of building a new Operations Team and can bring past experience and tools to help make the team a success

  • Organised and transparent – working seamlessly with project management methods and tools

  • Desire to be part of a fast growing business with the high pace of change which is inherent with this

  • Hands-on individual who does not necessarily need a large amount of support

Why choose us

Our Culture

Our success is underpinned by our cultural values. These values are not something we stick up on a wall – they don’t need to be. They are behaviours that we recognise and celebrate in each other. They are what we live by every day.

Our Cultural Values

  • Celebrate brilliance

  • Take ownership

  • Share Insights

  • Look for a better way

  • Support each other

Our values are driven through Culture Club – a staff team that rotates every quarter. Advocates for our culture as we grow, Culture Club activates ideas, makes improvements and helps everyone to connect.

Our office and remote working

We can confidently say that our sea-view office is one of Brighton’s best. However, we’re currently all working from home and we’ll be taking a cautious approach to returning to our much loved office.

Our plan moving forward is to have a remote workforce that can work from any location in the UK, but that also have access to our Brighton office space when they choose. We believe this offers ultimate flexibility to our team, and is reflective of how people will work in future. We also recognise that this will allow us to bring in a wider range of talent to our business, which is something that we’re really excited about.

We see this flexibility as a key employee benefit and all we ask is that you come into the office for a minimum of 3 days per quarter, which will include our quarterly team get together.

When in the office, we have flexible workspaces, which means you’re not tied to a desk, unless you want to be. You could work in a sociable spot on floor 4, or set yourself up with a screen on floor 3. This is everyone’s space and it’s available after work – our staff host everything from gaming and craft nights to adventure film screenings. However, we will of course be following strict social distancing and health & safety guidelines for as long as is advised.

Benefits include

  • Remote working for our team in any location across the UK

  • Employee Assistance Programme (confidential counselling)

  • Medicash healthcare scheme (reclaim costs for dental, physiotherapy, osteopathy and optical care)

  • easitBrighton travel scheme (discounted public transport options)

  • Cycle to work scheme

  • Life Insurance scheme

  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

Other extras in the office

  • On site changing rooms, showers and internal bike storage

  • Breakfast, fresh fruit, snacks, beers, locally-roasted coffee

  • Food for thought: lunch and talks every Friday

  • Yoga and other fitness activities

  • Regular social events, including Friday drinks and book club

  • Visits from friendly office dogs
