Job Description

We have some interesting on-going projects and are looking for a new team member to come on board and help us in making them a success.  We are seeking a part-time freelance junior/mid-level PHP developer to work remotely (UK) for 2-4 days a week initially, and to provide on-going support on a longer term basis.  We would prefer somebody who is reasonably local as on-site meetings to discuss work will be required from time to time.

You will be responsible for providing on-going assistance to a senior web developer, and work will include the use of HTML/JavaScript/CSS to help create front-end interfaces, integrating with custom-built PHP/MySQL back-ends, creating customer facing dashboards and back-office business management systems, adding new features and maintaining the current systems. 

Required Skills

PHP / MySQL
HTML / CSS
JavaScript / jQuery
Experience with GIT source control
Understanding of object oriented programming principles

Useful Skills (Optional)

Laravel
REST APIs
XML & JSON data formats
Knowledge of Linux server admin

About You

We require at least 3 years of commercial experience utilising the above required skills.
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently on tasks to achieve the set goals.
Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
Ability to write clean, understandable, and well commented source code.
Must be able to provide your own development environment.
