The Company

Buffalo are a small but perfectly formed creative brand and web agency based in Brighton. We have been making pretty things online for nearly fifteen years and would love another person to join the team.

We will give you a chance to work on some great projects and develop your skills in exchange for dedication in doing what you love. You will join a culture that doesn't obsess about how many days holiday you have left and rewards people for their efforts.

Fresh fruit, regular lunches, soft drinks and great Small Batch Coffee are provided along with a whole bunch of other stuff. We hang out a lot, organise decent field trips and set aside time so you can develop personal projects. Of course this is in normal times...

The current situtation has changed some of this but we are working well and supporting people to have a good home environment to get the job done.

We also provide things like a Mac, nice Aeron chair, iPhone and anything else you need. We use Macs, but you'll be free to use whatever you want to get the job done.

The Job

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer who is also experienced with UX, accessibility best practices and elements of web interactivity/animation.

You should have an interest in pushing creativity on the web, and will bring the technical ability and ideas to help our team build next-level web experiences.

You will be a whizz with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and can whip up a modular/component-based frontend while contributing to our development toolchain.

We primarily work with Stimulus, a lightweight frontend framework - but if you have experience with other frontend frameworks then that's something we'd love to talk about using on projects too.

You will also be able to manage your own projects, working closely with our designers and backend developers to build high-quality creative websites from the ground up. You will communicate directly with clients and project managers, and will be used to working with requirements and feedback.

For us the right attitude and dollop of passion are as important as raw skill, if you are hungry to learn we will get along well.

Salary is dependant on skills and experience - working location is normally central Brighton but currently remotely until the world regains some order.

Please send an email, CV, git repo/codepen and any relevant online projects (most important) to

No agencies - seriously don't bother
