Marketing Coordinator

Do you love delivering online campaigns that really resonate with their audiences? Are you bright, enthusiastic, and organised? Do you want to work at the heart of one of the UK’s most dynamic digital clusters? Then maybe you’re a good match for us.
We are looking for someone with at least a couple of years marketing experience to join our team. If you’ve worked for an agency or digital company, then bring your skills and savvy to the region’s flagship membership organisation. You will be working on 3 main areas of our activity:

  1. Helping grow our membership, ensuring they know all about the great services that we provide, and also publicising the fantastic things that our members are creating and doing.
  2. Marketing our renowned FuseBox innovation hub. This includes supporting the growth of our FuseBox residency programme for creative technologists, ensuring we get lots of strong applications for our tech accelerator programmes, and providing info about our exciting new music industry tech project with Brighton Dome, Warner Music and others.
  3. Promoting our activity to support a socially positive digital sector, including our work to grow a truly diverse and inclusive regional cluster, and our projects around social responsibility in digital innovation. 

If all this excites you, then you need to know that we are looking for someone who is great at making engaging content, can write strong copy to a brief and is happy working in a small team to deliver campaigns to multiple audiences and platforms. Bonus points if you're already familiar with Brighton's digital scene. 
You’ll work alongside our Events and Marketing Coordinator on all our social media channels (including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram) and develop our email comms, so it’s important that you are a creative thinker and good at understanding different audiences, and creating relevant content for them. Excellent communication skills are really key.

We are the region’s flagship independent not-for-profit membership organisation. We support the digital, media and technology cluster in Sussex. We are a small and friendly team. When we aren’t working from home because of a global pandemic, we’re based around the corner from Brighton’s North Laine in our own creative and collaborative workspace, the FuseBox, with its unique access to cutting-edge immersive and emerging technologies. We also have a podcast studio and an event space with content production facilities. Plus, of course, a great coffee machine, ergonomic chairs and high spec Macbooks.
