Sussex-based web accessibility and development agency are looking for a Part-Time Accounts / Office Manager (15 - 20 hours per week, flexible working).

The Role

You’ll take ownership of our numbers, helping us to manage our invoicing and accounts, marketing spends and the costs of running our business and team.  We will encourage you to challenge us where needed and contribute to the development of company processes and to our wider business strategy.  

We are a small, tight-knit team, and provide our staff with the autonomy and space they need to create quality work for a diverse array of clients, as well as the support required to allow their knowledge and confidence to grow. 

Recent work has included making websites and running user testing for Food & Drink brands, The United Nations, The British Council, County Councils, Arts Organisations and more!

Main Responsibilities

Within this role, you would be accountable for the following:

  • Book-keeping and account reconciliation

  • Supplier invoicing and payment management.

  • Credit control.

  • Managing the company's financial accounting and reporting in Xero.

  • Weekly reporting on key financial measurables for the team

  • Working with our leadership team to help develop annual budgets and forecasts.

  • Acting as the first point of contact for staff HR enquiries (can be forwarded to our HR specialist)

  • Handling staff payroll enquiries (payroll currently run by our accountant), paying staff and distributing payslips.

  • Keeping policies and insurances up to date.

  • Business diary management and any related client communication.

  • Helping to manage smooth-running of the office by maintain supplies of stationery and equipment etc.


The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience working in the digital industry.

  • Business planning expeirence.

  • Understanding of financial management processes .

  • Hands-on experience with Xero 

  • Experience with Hubdoc for receipt processing (or similar)
