The role

addmustard is searching for a Junior Designer to join our digital marketing team in Brighton. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to kick off their creative career in a dynamic, supportive and challenging environment. Guided by our Creative Director and Senior Designers, you will be part of an award-winning team who will help develop and hone your skills across a wide range of creative disciplines including website and app design, user experience, and brand development. You will play a key role supporting the design and execution of creative marketing campaigns, alongside a number of responsibilities including sourcing and editing imagery, updating web pages, and perfecting the look and feel of our proposals and presentations.

You will be encouraged to collaborate with the wider team on a variety of creative projects, contributing ideas and opinions on everything from logo designs to innovative ways of displaying website content and visualising a brand message. Working alongside a team who are highly experienced, you will be mentored and trained on the job, and challenged to develop your skills rapidly. Our portfolio comprises a number of entrepreneurial businesses and high growth brands participating in ground-breaking campaigns across all marketing channels, so our ideal candidate will have the ability to work under pressure and to commit to delivering results on time. 


Key responsibilities

  • Sourcing, editing, resizing and uploading images for use across web pages, marketing campaigns, and presentations.

  • Ensuring our presentations and proposals are visually beautiful and on brand.

  • Input into creative planning and ideation, contributing design solutions to address our clients’ creative and communication challenges.

  • Adapting creative to work in a variety of formats for use across a range of marketing channels and platforms.

  • Creating wireframes, sketches or concepts to illustrate ideas to the team and our clients.

  • Creating and updating web pages or uploading content on our internal website or clients’ websites.

  • Assisting with competitor, landscape, and brand research and auditing.

  • Ensuring all design files are labelled and filed correctly.


Desirable skills and experience

  • Exceptional creative flair and passion for beautiful design.

  • An innovative mind always searching for a better way to communicate, inspire and delight.

  • Experience working in Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop.

  • Keen interest in user experience and user interface design.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task, work at pace and to tight deadlines.

  • Approachable, adaptable, and up for a challenge.
