Job summary

This role is an important one for our business. The successful candidate will work closely with both MDs (PR and Digital) and our Online Director to deliver value to our clients by liaising with the delivery team to manage cross-channel marketing campaigns. The successful applicant will have a history of working within marketing, (with experience of PR Account Management) will be able to spin plates, present confidently and listen to the delivery team to understand the work we will conduct to hit client goals.

Account Manager overview

  • Creating a positive relationship with clients
  • Running client planning documents to ensure all of the workstreams are effectively managed and delivered
  • Overseeing our report process – including collating data, providing an overview and then delivering meaningful feedback to our clients
  • Presenting reports and analysis to clients
  • Keeping the client fully up-to-date on campaign progress
  • Managing the expectations of each client through your understanding of PR and digital marketing theory and communicating by telephone, email and face to face meetings
  • A thorough understanding of each client’s business targets, objectives, challenges and business strategy
  • Developing a competitive understanding of the industry your clients operate in
  • Ensuring all client work is correctly planned out and allocated in Tempora (our time management software)
  • Managing any changes necessary in Tempora
  • Using Tempora to effectively track and report on the margin and delivery of all client campaigns 
  • Using Tempora data to track and manage any over-service on client campaigns
  • Effectively manage the amount of over-service required to win increased fee at an acceptable ROI
  • Ensuring all work is delivered on time to all clients
  • Managing all work required from our clients to ensure timely delivery of our campaigns
  • Working with the delivery team and Online Director to ensure all campaigns planned for clients hit target and provide game changing benefits to their roles and business
  • Agreeing KPIs with clients for every campaign and ensuring they are correctly tracked and reported on, on a regular basis
  • To work with your team to accurately budget for any third party or media expenses that might be needed throughout the length of the campaign
  • Managing all invoicing and POs raised for every campaign through effective media budget
  • Keeping track of performance against KPIs at all times and proactively recommending fixes to any slip in performance
  • Ensuring every client has a comprehensive campaign planner and status report to track progress and delivery of work
  • Ensuring all clients have informative KPI reports with actionable insights that are sent on time every month
  • Recording all time spent on client or Fox&Bear in Tempora
  • Assisting in proposal writing

Job requirements

  • Minumum three years marketing, PR and account management experience
  • A self-starter who can work as part of a team
  • Results-led
  • Able to juggle multiple projects and clients
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to think creatively
  • Able to write compelling narrative

  • Developing creative concepts
  • Agency experience preferred but not essential
  • Working with Google docs, Google Analytics and other marketing software
