E-commerce Manager

Salary: £28k - £38k range DOE - Plus Bonus OTE - Private Health Plan.

We are a well known B2B and B2C business working within the building sector, we are in the process of launching a brand new website and with that we require an experienced Ecommerce Manager.

This exciting position requires an experienced e-commerce manager to work closely with our Digital Agency. Assisting in the day to day running and promotion of our web platforms, specifically our new retail, consumer facing site, this is a role that allows for genuine growth of a new arm to a well established business. We plan to aggressively target the consumer market online, using established access to a huge product range, with which we are able to compete easily on price. 

Primary focus will be on keeping the site up to date with stock, identifying improvements to user journeys, assisting with maintaining and updating the company websites as well as third party platforms; including both front end  (site copy and imagery etc.) and back end (uploading new products, site maintenance, etc.) and customer service enquiries.

About You:

Key Skills

  • Have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar ecommerce role, working with stock management and online software.
  • Have previous experience working with Wordpress and Woocommerce and ideally inventory management software such as QuickBooks Commerce 
  • Keen interest in ecommerce and keeping up with trends and best practice.
  • Good basic understanding of areas of digital marketing such as SEO and PPC.
  • Fully competent with spreadsheets.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Creative thinking.
  • Strong organisation.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using Google Analytics and other reporting platforms.

Ideal Additions

  • Experience working with external agencies
  • Experience with *software to go here - ask team Ahrefs, SemRush or other SEO platforms, Hootsuit, or other social media management platforms, Social media platforms
  • Copywriting skills
  • Image software such as Photoshop
  • Interest in home improvements or interior design
  • Understanding of GDPR best practices
