St Barnabas Hospices offers specialist palliative care through two hospices: St Barnabas House adults’ hospice in Worthing and Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice near Arundel in Sussex.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Designer to join our Communications team – could that be you?
Reporting to our Communications Manager this role will be responsible for creating and producing a broad range of engaging digital and print communications for both hospices; from rich, multi-channel content that inspires our audiences to raise funds and promotes awareness, to simple and powerful graphics that will guide users through our key messages.
You will have strong design, layout and typography skills and a passion to produce high quality content that strengthens the brand. In return you will be working in an environment that will provide you autonomy and space to shape your role and activities.
Applicants will need a strong portfolio that demonstrates an excellent eye for design and be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and build good relationships across teams.

We have offices in both of our hospices and in Eastbourne, although most of the team are currently working from home. The successful applicant can opt to be based in East or West Sussex, but will need to be flexible to travel between sites occasionally.
