We are looking for a front end developer to join our friendly and ambitious team. The role is initially remotely based (eventually we’ll be moving to an office in Brighton) and is perfect for someone passionate about working with football clubs and their fans to create a more sustainable planet. We welcome both junior and mid-weight developers who feel they are a good match for the role.
We need somebody who specialises in the front of the spec - we are React based and use SASS for styling - if those are in your wheelhouse then you could be a good fit!
What is Planet Super League
Planet Super League is the tournament for football fans who care about the environment. Fans sign up on our site, complete green activities to score points for their football club and help them get up the league.
We currently work with 34 professional football clubs, including 12 from the Premier League. Check out our BBC News coverage.
The following technical skills are needed for the role:
React UI experience (failing this Vue.js or other UI frameworks would be considered)
Comfortable with CSS and SASS
Experience developing responsive websites
You’ll get bonus points for experience/skills in the following:
Static site builds (Gatsby/Next/Gridsome/Nuxt)
Amazon web services
OAuth based authentication flows
Web based animations
We also need the following softer skills:
Accept mistakes happen and owns them
Show an ability to multitask
Experience working within a team
Experience working with task management tools (e.g. Trello, Jira)
