Senior Marketing Executive

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced B2B marketing professional to join a dynamic team at an incredibly exciting time for this specialist travel provider. As we step into a new phase of growth, we are looking for an outstanding Senior Marketing Executive to help position our brand across key market verticals.

The role

The marketing department is very much integrated as a central part of the Travel Places team, playing key roles across Business Development and Event activities, as well as owning the company’s brand identity, marketing strategy and marcomms programme. We are looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Executive to take ownership of the day-to-day activities and work confidently across the range of internal and external stakeholders.

Your objective 

Maximise Travel Places’ return on investment from all marketing activities across brand, client acquisition and customer retention. Identify key opportunities for the brand and make recommendations for activities to implement and deliver against the defined marketing strategy. 

Skills required

  • Degree in Marketing (preferred)
  • At least 4 years’ marketing experience, ideally B2B or in an SME (essential)
  • Experience working within travel or sport a bonus, but not essential
  • A strong understanding of inbound and outbound marketing
  • Ability to manage marketing budgets
  • Ability to manage external agencies and freelance support as required
  • Ability to monitor and assess campaign success through data insights                                                                                                
  • Email campaign management
  • CRM management
  • Understanding of web basics and digital marketing 
  • Experienced in running brand social
  • Strong written skills with an eye for detail
  • Naturally curious, this is all about telling stories through business discovery and detective work

Experience required

  • 4 years+ B2B marketing experience
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders, directors and senior management team
  • Experience of supporting pitch documentation 
  • Experience of supporting departmental growth targets and influencing/guiding their BD activity
  • Experience in activating marketing strategies against defined KPIs – assigned resource as required and explicitly supporting retention, growth and acquisition targets
  • Experience of generating marketing collateral, blogs, thought leadership articles, news pieces and campaign ideas
  • Creation of brand case studies and award entries
  • Experience of building strategic partner relations for marketing purposes
  • Experience of working across PR campaigns
  • Ability to represent Travel Places at external events as an ambassador of the brand if required
