Engagement Delivery Manager

Role overview

The primary function of the Engagement Delivery Manager role is to own and manage all the in-life delivery of William Alexander Consulting (WAC) services within assigned client accounts. They will provide holistic oversight for all client delivery activity, ensuring consistent communication, engagement and total adherence to contractual delivery commitments are met and potential risks & liabilities are mitigated.

In addition, the Engagement Delivery Manager will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and growing revenues within the assigned accounts in conjunction with the Relationship Manager.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership for all services delivery within assigned accounts, ensuring all services delivered are on, or exceeding targets aligned to any agreed customer SLA’s
  • Work closely with internal WAC Contracts and Compliance team to ensure all services adhere to contractual requirements
  • Carry out regular client Service Reviews in conjunction with the Relationship Manager within assigned accounts
  • Proactively manage client acceptance of SoW deliverables and act to mitigate risks and issues early
  • Proactively manage WAC Contractor Associates performance against agreed deliverables and act to mitigate risks and issues early
  • Act as point of escalation for all service delivery within assigned accounts
  • Report client satisfaction and service performance both internally and externally
  • Draft SoW’s for new services (in conjunction with WAC Head of Consulting where appropriate)
  • Draft WAC Contractor Associate Sub Consultancy Agreement Schedules with detailed deliverables etc (in conjunction with Head of Consulting where appropriate).
  • Work closely with internal WAC Resource Delivery Managers to identify and select new WAC Contract Associates for new services within assigned accounts
  • Carry out contract associates IR35 status assessments and issue Status Determination Statements using the Kingsbridge IR35 assessment tool
  • Liaise with internal Project Administrator and Accounts team to define, implement and own all billing/invoicing and PO management processes
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting against client budgets

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with client Relationship Managers to develop client development growth strategies across all assigned accounts
  • Provide pre-sales support in presentations to both existing and potential clients
  • Assist in the definition and implementation of a robust, scalable set of service methodologies for use across the WAC client base (in conjunction with the Head of Consulting)
  • Assist in the definition of a set of formal Acceptance into Service (AIS) criteria’s to be agreed and utilised between Solutions and Engagement functions (in conjunction with the Head of Consulting)

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years+ end to end project delivery experience in either Project Management, Engagement Management or Service Delivery Management roles
  • Technology project experience
  • Financial Services industry experience (as clients or employers)
  • Understanding of the software development project lifecycle

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technology Project Management experience
  • External client facing consultancy experience
  • Previous commercial Agile experience
  • Formal Project Management qualifications (Prince 2 or similar)
  • ITIL qualifications and/or experience
  • Experience in setting client KPI’s for engagement (satisfaction & communication) and delivery (dependencies, reporting and progress)
  • Business change/ Business transformation experience
  • Business Analysis experience
  • Pre-Sales experience
  • Successful track record identifying and developing further opportunities within client accounts
  • Insurance industry experience
  • Central Government industry experience
