A leading bicycle retailer in West Sussex is in a period of expansion, and as such, are looking to grow their online presence and also bring on new retail premises. As part of these plans,they’re looking for an eCommerce & Social Media Manager to come on board and take their online business and presence within West Sussex to new heights.

Although you’ll feed directly into the Operations Manager, you’ll truly be a one-person band in this role and will own everything in the department, so the ability to work on your own and keep track of your day-to-day work is a must. You’ll be in charge of everything from importing new products onto the website and updating product copy and images to ensure they are factually correct all the way through to creating email newsletters to customers and responding to enquiries via email and live chat.

You’ll work closely with their marketing agency to implement new campaigns, so the ability to build solid relationships is also a must. This is a rare opportunity to grow with a company that has incredibly ambitious goals over the next few years, and the sky's the limit for the right candidate.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, manage and monitor the current website in conjunction with a marketing strategy set out by the marketing team

  • Ensure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plans

  • Pick and pack all orders in a timely and efficient manner

  • Respond to all email enquiries by customers and live chats

  • Manage all aspects of the customer journey, from order placement to dispatch and follow up for reviews

  • Oversee content production and copywriting through Unearth Marketing

  • Keep up to date with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites

  • Follow SEO best practices and optimise the website at every opportunity

  • Research potential products and order stock as and when required

  • Improve user experience of the website regularly

  • Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues as and when they arise 

 

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in a similar role

  • Knowledge of bikes and the bike industry

  • Exceptional communication and reporting skills

  • Experience using eCommerce platforms

  • Experience using Google Analytics and general understanding of the world of eCommerce

  • Microsoft Office knowledge

  • The ability to work on your own 

  • Previous experience using Mailchimp

Location: West Sussex

Salary: £26,000.00 per annum plus 1% continuous bonus over set targets
