Booksy is the leading beauty marketplace for finding, scheduling and managing appointments (with over $2.7bn annualized GMV run-rate and over 9 million bookings per month worldwide), anchored by a SaaS app for business management. We are headquartered in the United States and have over 700 employees based in offices across seven countries (US, PL, UK, BR, ES, ZA and MX).

 

Even though 2020 was a challenging time, it has enabled us to discover how much businesses appreciate appointment scheduling systems more than ever! We are now aiming to build a household name for a beauty marketplace powered by SaaS solutions. To support Booksy’s future success in the UK and Republic of Ireland, we are currently looking for:

 

Head of Marketing

(location: Eastbourne or remotely) 

 

Context on the role

  • The UK/IE have been highly successful and rapidly expanding markets for Booksy. We have built a strong team of over 100 people across Sales, Customer Success, Operations and Marketing functions

  • The Marketing team will play a strategic role in our business, both for our Service Providers to get started with Booksy and ultimately reach their business goals as well as for the end-customers to discover and easily book services in their area

  • As the Head of Marketing, you will be part of the management team at Booksy UK (reporting directly to the Country Manager) and will lead the marketing function with the focus on further accelerating our growth, increasing brand awareness and our visibility in the market as well as enabling our sales teams

 

What you’ll do

  • Defining the long-term vision and priorities for the B2B and B2C marketing areas in line with the overall strategy for the UK/IE market

  • Prioritizing across a full range of B2B and B2C marketing activities to build an implementation roadmap based on the understanding of the business opportunities, costs and implementation complexity

  • Ensuring the implementation of marketing initiatives in line with the roadmap through supporting and coaching the UK/IE marketing team members in their projects, engaging key stakeholders across the organization and working with external vendors

  • Engaging with Sales and Customer Success teams to design and deliver a strong cross-functional experience for Service Providers during the entire customer lifecycle

  • Tracking and analyzing the performance of marketing activities to identify improvement opportunities and ensure focus on the most impactful ones in the future

  • Leading the UK/IE marketing team to ensure the professional development of the team members, enhance their ability to understand Service Provider and end-customer needs, promote attitudes and behaviors consistent with Booksy values 

  • Engaging with our global centers of competence for performance marketing, lifecycle marketing and eCRM to provide perspective from UK/IE to inform their global approach and to ensure their support is aligned with UK/IE market needs

  • Working with Marketing teams in the HQ and other markets to ensure consistency with global Booksy brand guidelines and best practice sharing

 

Who you are

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in B2B and B2C marketing (ideally including experience in a fast-growth international business environment e.g. SaaS, marketplace or other technology business)

  • Ability to think strategically through understanding multiple areas of marketing and connecting them into a comprehensive go-to-market strategy in partnership with other commercial functions

  • Ability to exercise business judgement to focus on initiatives with the highest impact

  • Proactive and pragmatic attitude with the ability to identify new business opportunities and focus on getting things done

  • Strong project management and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects involving multiple stakeholders

  • Demonstrating empathy towards a diverse community of Service Providers and end-customers to be able to develop marketing initiatives with their perspective in mind

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adjust the style and messages to various audiences and to work across various functions

  • Ability to speak and write in English
