StoryStream is on a mission to transform marketing by helping brands to build deeper engagement and higher value relationships with customers through authentic and personalised content.

The StoryStream Content Curation Platform makes it easier for brands to manage and deliver the right mix of content to the right audiences at scale, transforming engagement and conversions. The technology is underpinned by AURA, our patent pending AI, that allows for tagging and managing content at unprecedented scale enabling true, multi-channel personalisation.

As the leading content platform in the automotive sector we are working with some of the world’s most recognisable brands including Porsche, Volvo, Mercedes, JLR, Audi, McLaren, Toyota and Citroen. We are now expanding into other sectors and are already working with the likes of Sainsbury’s, Boden and Sweaty Betty in retail.

We are a VC backed, fast growing MarTech start-up based in London and Brighton and are expanding our team to capture the significant opportunity of becoming the content platform defining the next generation of marketing technology.

As a team full of innovators we are looking for a Product Designer to join our design team and help us build a business with real impact and significance. You’ll be working closely with Engineers, Product Managers and Designers, and helping to push the StoryStream platform forward.

You’ll be coming on board at an incredibly exciting time for the business as we ramp up our growth and build deeper relationships with the world’s most exciting automotive and retail brands.

As a Product Designer at StoryStream you will be...

  • Working as part of an agile team in 2 week sprints, primarily using Figma to develop new features and maintain our design system.

  • Helping define new features within the product - how it works and how everything binds together. And adding the magic layer of delight on top.

  • Improving existing features. Constantly improving, constantly iterating, reacting to learnings, measuring success.

  • Generating a deep understanding of all aspects of our product. There’s a lot to learn, it’ll be a fascinating journey.

  • Bringing to life research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.

  • Working closely with the Head of Design to help define and refine our visual language and design system whilst nurturing and developing your own personal career development plan.

  • Supporting our engineers during the build phase of new components and features.

To achieve this we're looking for a creative thinker and problem solver with a user-centered approach to everything they design. Ideally you will have at least 1-2 years experience in a similar role, though a positive attitude, a curious mind and problem solving skills are just as valuable. You will be observant, have good attention to detail, and will be able to communicate with clarity and confidence when interacting with other designers, project managers and developers. If you have experience working on an existing product then we’ll be very interested to hear what you have to say. If you are currently in an agency and want to get your teeth into something much more substantial, we'll be just as excited to hear from you.

We think that these factors will help you succeed in this role:

  • 1-2 years of product/UI design experience (though if you don't have that but think you've got what it takes we'd still love to hear from you!).

  • Solid knowledge of Figma or similar software.

  • Experience creating clickable prototypes using Figma or a similar tool.

  • Ability to understand detailed requirements and help to design user experiences that meet product needs and vision.

  • Have an understanding of and interest in UX research techniques, both qualitative and quantitative.

  • Ability to iterate on your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to the team.

  • Excellent organisation and file management skills.

  • Proven experience in forming refined and rounded conclusions based on a variety of research methods.

  • Have run or have a good knowledge of running design thinking sessions in a cross discipline team in an engaging yet focused manner.

  • Be willing to help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them.

  • A real love of learning and keeping up to date with trends in the UX and Design world.
