The Role

We are looking for a motivated and talented Learning Designer to join our expanding team, reporting directly to our Head of Learning Design.

Your role will be to design and script bold and imaginative simulations for Bodyswaps’ unique immersive format that help learners to develop and fine tune soft skills like giving an elevator pitch; crafting a convincing, compelling answer to an interview question; challenging microaggressions or breaking bad news. 

From leading workshops with SMEs and clients, to creating design documentation and briefing the team, you will champion your design throughout the whole lifecycle of a project and will be instrumental in achieving our objective of being recognised as the world’s best soft skills training solution.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create, communicate and document innovative designs that deliver on learning outcome
  • Consult with clients to define their learning objectives
  • Create compelling treatment ideas for proposals
  • Specify and detail the exact scope, style and functionality of your solutions
  • Design solutions that delight clients while being achievable within an agreed budget and timeframe
  • Create designs for immersive experiences that deliver on specific learning objectives
  • Run workshops with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather relevant content
  • Proofread client-facing documents
  • Test the applications we develop to ensure they fit the original design and specifications
  • Create and evolve script templates
  • Write, edit and review simulation scripts
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to help make sure projects are delivered on-time and in-budget
  • Direct actors during audio recording sessions
  • Create agendas for client meetings and produce professionally written client communications
  • Facilitate/train aspects of the learning programme




  • 3+ years in a similar role (VR experience desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent creative storytelling and dialogue writing skills 
  • Have a good grasp of learning theory and can justify design concepts in terms of pedagogical value
  • Experience managing projects and key stakeholders


  • A teaching or writing qualification
  • Competencies in Google suite tools
  • Interest and experience in psychology or social sciences
