Salary: £35k

Reports to: Front End Lead

We are looking for a mid-level Front End Developer to support the growth of the team as the company matures. This is a great opportunity for the right person to take a challenging role, and to be involved in the development of the company. The growing sales and support teams are located in London, the other office, where this role may travel to on occasion. Please note that currently, and for the foreseeable future, our teams remain based from home and the offices are closed.


You will be responsible for a variety of tasks (as listed below, not exhaustive) related to building and maintaining websites for our clients and generally support the Front End Lead.

The successful candidate will be someone who is driven, possesses solid foundations in common web technologies, is great at problem-solving and works well in a small team.

Responsibilities and experience

Your duties will include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Fixing front end Javascript/CSS/HTML bugs

  • Developing new features

  • Contributing to team-building during stand-ups and retros

  • Furthering knowledge and understanding of relevant technologies

Required experience

  • 1-2 years experience in front end web development.

  • Strong competency with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

  • Strong problem solving ability.

  • Experience with JS libraries and frameworks (jQuery, React, Backbone or similar).

  • Experience using git on collaborative projects.

  • Experience of modern JS tools and features (ES6+, NPM, Webpack).

  • Experience working with APIs.

Desirable experience

  • Experience with React and Redux.

  • Experience with server-side languages and frameworks (especially Ruby).

  • Experience with templating languages (especially Liquid).

  • Experience working using Agile methodologies (sprints, standups, retros).

  • Experience of TDD and testing libraries.

All candidates will be asked to complete a “tech test” in order to demonstrate a basic level of competency with programming.
