We have a fantastic opportunity for an Application Support Engineer to join our Engineering team! 

This role will provide essential support for our Crunch applications, building relationships across the business to identify and alleviate issues, whilst working to continuously improve and enhance the applications functionality. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Diagnosing and providing solutions to common problems within the Crunch applications, applying and monitoring fixes.

  • Supporting with the investigation of more complex issues, troubleshooting and escalating them to the relevant development teams when necessary.

  • Delivering comprehensive bug reports and test cases to our Developers.

  • Interacting with suppliers and other third parties integrated with the Crunch application(s).

  • Safely interacting with Crunch production systems and databases.

  • Maintaining lines of communication with different stakeholders. 

  • Assisting members of the Crunch team with their report requirements.

  • Proactively identifying recurring problems affecting the client experience, whilst working with key stakeholders on remedial action.

  • Constantly updating own knowledge and acting as the subject matter expert on the functionality of our products and services.

You will need:

  • Working knowledge of Databases, specifically SQL

  • An interest in learning about modern software development practices, technology and operating within complex systems.

  • An interest in learning about Accountancy and our additional products within the financial services landscape.

  • A degree in IT is preferable.

The following experience is not essential, but would be beneficial:

  • Experience using any CRM software such as Salesforce.

  • ​​Experience in Stakeholder management of all levels.

  • Previous experience in a technological support role to client/customer facing teams or individuals.

  • Experience and/or knowledge of programming languages; for example, Java.
