ROLE TITLE: Account Manager

REPORTS TO: Business Development Director

TEAM: Accounts & Business Development

SALARY: £30,000

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Acting as a link between the company and the client, responsible for the coordination of advertising campaigns and communicating clearly to all those involved, both internally and externally.

HOURS: 40 hours per week Mon to Fri; occasional requirement to work outside of these hours to meet deadlines.

SUMMARY: The post holder will strive to understand their clients goals and assist with devising a monitor process maintaining campaign to meet clients brief and budget regular contact with the client. The post holder will manage a number of non-competing accounts at the same time.

CAREER PROGRESSION: With experience you could progress to become a Senior Account Manager - internally this would depend on availability of vacancies or company growth.




Essential or Desirable



Bachelor's degree (2.1 or above): Study areas preferred include: marketing; advertising; statistics; business administration; media studies, psychology: Desirable




Range of work experience in a media, marketing, communications or sales environment: Essential

Experience at working successfully and collaboratively in a team: Essential

Experience of using Xero: Desirable

Key Duties


Brand Marketing / Company Knowledge

  • Demonstrates understanding of a clients' business and culture
  • Demonstrates an understanding of key industry trends

Creative Contribution / Advertising Savvy

  • Assist the Be The Fox teams to formulate marketing strategies
  • Can confidently present creative work and project plans to clients for their approval or modification

Client Relations / Communication

  • Meeting and liaising with clients to discuss and identify their advertising requirements
  • Works closely with Be The Fox colleagues to devise advertising campaign that meets the client's brief and budget
  • Presenting, alongside colleagues, campaign ideas and budget to clients
  • Liaising with, and acting as the link between, the client and the company by maintaining regular contact
  • Identifying clients’ changing business needs and communicating that to the management team.
  • Ensuring communication flows effectively
  • Negotiating with clients and company colleagues about the details of campaigns and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Assisting with managing campaign costs, budgets and invoicing clients
  • Assisting with writing client reports
  • Assisting with the evaluation and monitoring of the effectiveness of campaigns
  • Assisting with making pitches to win new business
  • Attends and contributes to meetings

Strategic & Tactical Planning

  • Responsible for the day to day communications regarding progress of accounts
  • Contributes to finding solutions to problems and thinks creatively about how to tackle projects
  • Is willing to develop the skills of making decisions, taking accountability for decision making and ownership of work tasks.

Financial Acumen

  • Demonstrates good business sense and the ability to work within budgets
  • Shows accuracy and attention to detail
  • Produces information to assist with invoicing in a timely manner
