Genie is a close-knit, lively Design & Print Studio, combining a shop front and production centre in the heart of Brighton's creative area - the North Laine.
Genie offers a graphic design service and a complete range of efficient full colour printing solutions. We cater to all, ranging from local independent businesses through to large-scale corporate businesses.
With a newly expanded, high-spec studio & print room, we have a small team of designers, print operators and cheerful front of house staff. We pride ourselves on our attentive customer service and vast range of products that we supply to our lovely customers.
Currently on the look-out for a "creative" office assistant, Genie require a new member to add to our team.
The candidate would ideally have experience within the print field, as they would be working front of house. Well-honed client-facing communication skills are key, both written and verbal. The job predominantly involves taking orders, prepping artwork, conversing with customers and advising them on the best solution for their design and printing needs. Attention to detail is essential for proofing artwork and invoicing correctly. You must be able to deal with a variety of customers, patience, politeness and a positive attitude are key factors.
Almost more importantly the candidate must be approachable, confident, and
super-organised. They must be willing to pitch in and work as a team supporting the output of orders in a fast-paced environment, whilst remaining calm under pressure.
The employment would be based on 5 days per week, Monday-Friday, 9am to 6pm.
Our studio is located in central Brighton, East Sussex, so it’s important you are able to easily commute.
- Apple Mac proficient
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to cope in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure

Duties include (but not limited to):
- Invoicing / organising orders / quoting
- Telephone / email management
- Preparing / checking artwork files
- Liaising with clients in store
