About the role

This role is an exciting opportunity to join us and work within our Asset Bank team. We’re looking to bring in some additional expertise into our release process to increase quality and help us get product improvements and new features delivered safely and smoothly. You will be working with our Product Development Team to help specify and test new features, and assist with improving the overall testing workflow. You will also have an opportunity to help improve the product by suggesting any usability enhancements that you uncover as part of your growing product expertise.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for someone who can initially commit eight hours per week to the role, over one or two days (office based or remote). Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic software tester who understands the importance of quality and usability, is pragmatic and has an analytical approach to discovering what happens when things don’t go as expected. They will also be able to see wasted effort and want to make improvements.

What you’ll be responsible for

As a talented Tester, you will:

  • Manage and execute weekly test plans

  • Reproduce and clearly document bugs

  • Evaluate and prioritise bugs or find workarounds

  • Suggest usability enhancements

  • Drive innovation and help streamline overall testing processes

You:

  • Are Tech-savvy. You are at home using technical web applications.

  • Can communicate effectively and explain complex problems in a simple way

  • Have excellent attention to detail

  • Enjoy collaborating with others

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of software testing approaches

  • Can create test plans for new features or enhancements

  • Experience writing automated Selenium tests

Position Type

Part time, eight hours per week over one or two days. Office based (in Brighton) or remote working.

Salary

£35,000 pa = £18 per hour
