Business Intelligence Analyst

YMCA DLG stands together with children and young people who are at risk; keeping them safe, supporting their emotional wellbeing, and enabling them to belong, contribute and thrive in their local community.

We work to prevent youth homelessness across Sussex and Surrey and provide a home to 763 young people every night. We reach a further 10,000 young people and their families through our other key services, such as counselling, support and advice, mediation, and youth work, so that all young people can belong, contribute and thrive. You can hear our inspiring Young People's Stories HERE.

The Role

We are recruiting a permanent, full-time Business Intelligence Analyst who can use the right tools to present data and analysis to a range of audiences and can champion data-driven decision making. In this role you will analyse and produce reports on risk and performance across different complex datasets. You will regularly present and communicate business performance data to help the organisation understand its performance, celebrate success and address any issues. In addition, you will look to actively improve how we use systems and dashboards, working with internal stakeholders to improve reporting and data accuracy e.g. through Microsoft Power BI and other visual presentation tools.

Your expected working pattern will be Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. We will consider earlier starts and other requests for flexible hours (e.g. compressed hours) for the right candidate. This role is hybrid and involves a combination of working on site and from home.

Who You Are

We are looking for an accurate and detail-focused Business Intelligence Analyst with experience in complex data analysis and reporting on performance across large datasets. The ideal candidate will be a champion for data at YMCA DLG and have an excellent understanding of how to present complex data in a concise and accessible way. You will also need experience of building engaging dashboards and efficient data models in Microsoft Power BI, Salesforce, or similar analytics platforms.

We know that there are great candidates who will not fit everything we have described above, or who have important skills we have not mentioned. If that is you, please do not hesitate to apply and tell us about yourself.

As an organisation, we are committed to the continued professional development of all colleagues, providing an extensive programme of formal learning opportunities and supported by an organisation-wide culture of learning.
