Community Engagement Manager / Technical Marketer

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marketing team and increase Cyclr’s presence and profile across relevant internal and external networks and communities.

You’re a team player

Our team work across multiple locations. As a result, we live in Slack and video chat to plan, organise, report, test, and generally ensure the smooth progress of projects. You should be able to collect, process, and summarise complex data into effective communication.

 

 About the role

  • The objective of the role is to increase Cyclr’s presence and profile across relevant technical networks and communities, ultimately supplementing the lead generation efforts of our Commercial team.

  • You will become the voice of Cyclr on external technical forums, engaging technical audiences by participating in value-add conversations within groups and Slack channels.

  • Over time you will partner with a Developer Advocate (developer) to provide high levels of code based insight to communities (or if you can code yourself you yourself may become the Developer Advocate).

  • Development of engagement within our internal Community Site.

  • Craft developer focused content for both internal and external community consumption.

  • Involvement in the creation, deployment and quality control of the Cyclr technical documentation suite. 

  • Monitor, track and report on internal and external engagement.

  • You will work across the Commercial and Product marketing teams and will collaborate with our Development teams.

  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends

  • This role will report into our Senior Product Marketing Manager

 

Requirements

  • Technical/geeky, you love to learn and engage with technical subjects and share your passion with others.

  • Knowledge of online marketing.

  • Proven work experience as a community manager or similar role.

  • Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Hands-on experience with social media management.

  • Attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver.

  • Experience preparing and publishing technical blog posts or tutorials.

 

Desirable skills

  •  Experience as a Developer.

Salary

£25,000 -£40,000 per annum, depending on experience and location

 

Location

We welcome candidates from across the South East and have offices in East Croydon and Brighton that our staff can access anytime, alongside remote working where preferred. 

 

Working hours

Our core hours are 9-5, Monday-Friday but we are open to flexible working requests.
