About the role
We are experiencing an exciting growth period and need to expand the team assisting our clients. This role will involve setting up our system for clients and dealing with their queries. You will need to guide them through resolving issues, resolving them yourself (where you are able) or escalating them - keeping the client updated. It will also likely involve helping the development team where possible. The role will not involve any traditional infrastructure IT service desk such as active directory / fixing printers.
The role will be extremely varied so the person will need to be highly flexible with the ability to react to business needs and contribute proactively.
The job will be based in Burgess Hill town centre at our offices which are easily accessible, have easy parking and are just a few minutes’ walk from the mainline train station.
It is not essential that you have any specific previous experience, but if you have any exposure with a service desk, rental, equipment servicing or live-events then you have a head start.
It is a great position for an organised, motivated and talented individual who can multi-task - most likely someone who has experience in a customer focused role - but is looking to expand their IT, web development or programming skills. It will have the excitement of a start-up but the benefits of an established business.
This role would be a great place to start for someone wanting to progress into a development role, a testing role or even product or project management position.
We are looking for an openminded individual with a strong ‘can do’ mentality that sees tasks through to their successful completion and isn’t afraid to ask questions. A good technical aptitude and attention to detail is essential.
You could come from a variety of backgrounds ranging from IT support, office admin to hospitality. Your skill set and attitude is more important than a previous matching job title.
- Be highly IT literate (e.g. can find your way around Excel, Word mail merge etc.).
- Enjoy problem solving and helping people.
- Have an aptitude and passion for IT / web systems, or customer support.
- Be able to work on multiple projects, prioritise your own workflow and work to tight deadlines.
- Be comfortable producing business documents.
- Able to speak with customers in a professional manner.
- Highly motivated and driven.
- Attention to detail.
- Keen to learn new things.
