IT Engineer / 3rd Line Support

It also provides a web-based auction management system to assist auction houses in every aspect of their business.



  • Support the Head of IT to deliver a 1st class service.
  • Be an experienced member of the technical team and your technical aptitude will add value in this multi-faceted role.
  • Provide support, maintenance, design and development, and perform analysis of entire infrastructure systems inclusive of Cloud, LANs, WANs, internet, security, and wireless implementations.
  • Have the technical knowledge to make recommendations, suggesting genuine system improvements and upgrades.
  • Bring an in-depth knowledge of Windows technologies, such as Windows Server and Desktop operating systems.
  • Demonstrate a logical and methodical approach to troubleshooting, thinking outside the box to reach the best resolution.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of IT policies. Ensure all systems and processes are standardised and in line with company security standards and procedures.
  • Continually monitor and service systems.
  • Capacity management of information systems both on-premise and cloud.
  • Automation of processes to streamline day to day activities.
  • Ensure all services operate within agreed business service levels agreements.
  • Regularly report to management system performance including trending, resource, and service issues.
  • Perform escalation procedures for important and urgent issues that potentially impact IT service availability to internal and external customers.
  • Actively input into the IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to ensure all business stakeholders are kept informed of service and project updates.
  • Provide out-of-hours support for critical production systems.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2/3rd level Infrastructure and support experience.
  • Delivery of IT systems within a dynamic and fast-moving business.
  • Experience with the automation of tasks, processes, and deployments.
  • Support of business applications within a corporate environment.
  • IT Project participation and delivery.
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
  • Windows Operating systems and Desktop hardware.
  • Windows Server Architecture in a clustered and highly available environment.
  • Office 365 tenant setup and administration.
  • Strong networking capabilities (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, switching etc).
  • Monitoring Tools.
  • Backup and Restore methodologies.
  • Disaster Recovery.
  • VoIP knowledge.
  • SQL Server.
  • Azure experience (not essential).
