Location: Brighton area
We’re looking for an experienced Product Designer well versed in digital user experience on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will be joining an exciting eCommerce company, with a strong sustainability ethos, entering into a new stage of growth.
The role
Our clients are looking for a candidate to help them design and grow two new products. You will be involved in every step of the process from user research and interaction design through to prototyping, testing and evaluation.
As Product Designer, you will be the advocate for user centricity across cross-functional Product Teams. Using quantitative data (the “what”) and qualitative data (the “why”) to guide UX design, you will create user experiences across websites and native apps that delight customers and excite the business.
Who we’re looking for
You will be obsessed with creating easy-to-use digital experiences that delight our customers. You will be both a creative thinker and an analytical thinker, and you will understand the close relationship between how users behave on digital products and why they behave that way.
Some of your key responsibilities will be:
-
Working closely with Product Managers and Engineering teams to develop the interaction design of our consumer-facing digital products.
-
Using your knowledge and experience of research methods and techniques to conduct user research to help inform design thinking.
-
Designing wireframes, mock-ups and high-fidelity user interfaces for web and native apps (iOS and Android).
-
Facilitating regular feedback sessions with Product teams and key stakeholders both within and outside of the business.
Skills and experience
-
You will have a keen eye for visual and interaction details, honed from prior experience of designing interactions for ecommerce and/or SaaS products.
-
You will be passionate about understanding the customer, will empathise with their needs and motivations and will strive to create experiences that solve problems for customers, whilst helping the business achieve its strategic objectives.
-
Strong working knowledge of UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch or Zeplin.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-
A collaborative approach to design and research, whilst maintaining a self-starting attitude.
-
Experience designing ecommerce products and/or native mobile apps is desirable.
