About the role
The product designer - design systems, will work closely with Product Designers, the wider UX, Product & development teams to ensure a cohesive experience across our platforms. You will continue the build and growth of our multi-brand design system by working on components, templates and development deliverables with clear guidelines of processes to ensure consistency and scalability.
The person we’re looking for
You will have experience designing and implementing multi-brand design systems & workflow processes to ensure consistent UI & UX across multiple products. You will also have experience using industry-leading design tools to solve challenging problems and create innovative design solutions.
You’ll be responsible for

Working with Designers/UX/Product & Development to push and iterate our internal Multi-brand design system aiding designers to produce brilliant work

Work closely with and support the UX/Product Design Teams and development teams, across multiple products

Ensure best practice is followed and communicated to relevant stakeholders by the creation and maintenance of our system documentation.

Establish design standards and principles accompanying the design system for scalability, efficiency, and consistency

Evaluate and improve usability and accessibility of components, and be a champion for the user

Participate in the full product development process using industry leading tools

Occasionally conduct/participate in research that is relevant to building the design system

Uphold a high standard for design excellence, and contribute to raising the bar for design at our company.

Be the voice of our Design System

Reviewing existing live engines to identify any design and interaction issues.
Skills and experience
-
Very clear demonstrable experience building design systems, component libraries, and/or UI Kits
-
3+ years working in a digital design profession as a UX designer, UI designer, interaction designer, product designer, or similar
-
End-to-end design skills including very strong graphic/UI/visual design skills
-
Outstanding portfolio showing deep product understanding and craftsmanship and innovative solutions from conception to launch

Very knowledgeable of user-centric processes and design thinking principles

Experienced and highly knowledgeable about differences in designing for multiple platforms, devices, screen sizes etc
-
Experience creating and maintaining clear and consistent multi-brand design system documentation

Mastery of industry leading design tools (Figma, Sketch, Abstract, Figma Tokens, documentation Zeroheight or Supernova, Principle and also Jira)

Has experience in agile/sprint teams

Solid understanding of design theory (typography, colour, grid, etc.)

Knowledge of accessibility standards/patterns and designing for accessibility
