Journalist / News Reporter

We are looking to hire another journalist or writer for our growing company. We publish news and analysis, and run events, specifically for the insurance, reinsurance, and complex financial markets sectors.

The role will be focused on writing for our industry-leading and highly respected publication Reinsurance News. Depending on experience, the role could expand to include our sister title, Artemis, as well as feature and report writing.

We're open to more junior applicants, as long as they have journalism experience from university or a previous role, or specific writing experience gained in another job role.

Those with specific experience writing for an insurance or reinsurance publication or audience, or perhaps another complex financial topic, should also apply as we're also open to more experienced candidates, with salary commensurate.

A journalism qualification is useful, but not essential if you have the right experience to bring to the role.

Candidates should be ambitious, be looking to advance their careers and eager to help build a world-leading publishing and events business.

We already have the largest audience of its kind and want to build on that with your help.

Applicants will be expected to write news articles from press releases, reports, and sources, as well as features, interviews and commentary content.

Applicants will need to, in time, be able to find their own sources and monitor news flow from the wires for relevant stories our readers will be interested in.

We're a small business and work remotely, although we are based in the Brighton & Hove area. When possible, there is a chance for international travel for all employees.
