WHAT WE ARE

Killer Creative is one of the UK’s leading creative and strategic fundraising agencies, specialising in the third sector. We’re a creative, marketing & innovation agency. We invent, create and take to market successful mass fundraising products for the UK’s most ambitious charities, working with partners such as; WaterAid, British Red Cross, NHS Charities Together, NSPCC, The Trussell Trust, Age UK, British Heart Foundation, Samaritans and Blood Cancer UK to name a few. We’ve raised over £75 million for good causes.

WHAT WE WANT

We’re seeking a super dynamic, proven new business winner with a brilliant attitude or track record to join our creative team to help expand Killer’s excellent portfolio.

You must be an ambitious, have a full understanding of the agency world (ideally with agency experience), be a charismatic and enthusiastic self-starter, willing to take the initiative while playing a key role as part of the team.

You’ll also need to be marketing savvy, have excellent presentation skills and a silver tongue, as well as have the desire and willingness to learn.

DETAILS

  • Reports to: Creative Director & Fundraising Director
  • Salary: Depending on experience + excellent monthly commission
  • Hours: Part time or full time, options to be discussed. Full time is 39 hours per week, Monday – Friday, flexible start and finish times, 3 days office-based from Tuesday to Thursday
  • Location: North Laines Brighton
  • Contract: Permanent or fixed-term – options to be discussed

Essential

  • Evidence of generating income, meeting or exceeding targets regularly and consistently
  • New business pipeline generation
  • Project cost estimates and quotes
  • Pitching and presenting
  • Ambitious and innovative new business strategies
  • Experience with creative projects

Desirable

  • Agency experience
  • Organic social media management
  • Copywriting

KEY DUTIES

1) Generate a commercial income stream

  • Generate new leads
  • Have confidence in being the first point of contact for inbound leads and enquiries
  • Excellent ‘people skills’ with the ability to work productively and professionally with a range of clients and colleagues
  • Professionalism with warmth and friendliness
  • Confident communicator and presenter, both in person and virtually

2) Client relations

  • Co-ordinating all new business enquiries
  • Defining and validating all leads
  • Outbound lead sourcing
  • Creating and building relationships with prospects
  • Working with Killer Creative colleagues to identify opportunities for growing existing clients
  • Seeking insight and feedback from prospects to drive our offering and new business approach
  • Leading on preparing and presenting pitches and proposals, briefing and collaborating with senior colleagues as required
  • Seeking opportunities to showcase Killer Creative’s work among current and prospective clients
  • Remaining abreast of creative and marketing fundraising specific trends

3) Strategy, planning and reporting

  • Planning business development activity, including (but not limited to) activities such as organic social media, newsletters, email campaigns, webinars, and events
  • Delivering against the business development strategy
  • Preparing reports for the fortnightly internal Business Development strategy meeting
  • Managing leads on the internal system and keeping client details up to date
  • Writing new business reports and pipeline summaries as required by management
  • Monitoring sold work and pipeline against quarterly targets
  • Analysing work won and lost to identify reasons for both and areas for improvement
  • Identifying changes in the market that might change our Business Development strategy
  • Analysing social media, website and newsletter performance, producing a monthly report for senior colleagues

4) Financial acumen & commercial focus

  • Demonstrating a sharp commercial focus – working with Managing Director and Fundraising Director to ensure the company is winning profitable work
  • Liaising with Account Director to understand company resources and identify when new work could commence
  • Demonstrating good business sense and the ability to work within budgets
  • Showing accuracy and attention to detail in preparing proposals/information for client
