Do you have a passion for telling stories, creating conceptual and engaging content for social media channels? Do you understand Tik Toks, Reels an shorts as well as the more traditional channels? Are you confident replying to DMs, comments and feedback? Can you spot online trends and hot topics and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment? If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you at East Sussex College.
Every day is quite different in this dynamic role and will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects.
We are looking to develop some Google PPC and/or remarketing campaigns for several departments within the college moving forwards, so Google PPC knowledge would be an advantage.
Based out of our Eastbourne or Hastings campus in with some travel required to our other campuses in Lewes, Newhaven when required, this full-time role involves creating content and posting/campaigning on the Colleges social media and digital channels to develop engaging relationships with our stakeholders and build our online communities, helping to promote brand awareness and raising the profile of the College.
You will be digitally native, aware of the ever-changing social media algorithms, love to create content and eager to learn about how to build a strong and lasting brand values.
Supported by the Press and PR executives and part of the marketing team, the role will work closely in collaboration with Head of Marketing to create consistent, complementary, and well-timed campaigns.
We’re looking for someone who is a familiar Social Media user, with some experience in a similar role, enthusiastic, highly organised but flexible with abilities to deliver engaging creative content – written, images and some video. Some customer care experience or evidence of dealing with customers would be advantageous.
You’ll need to be familiar with Social Media software scheduling packages such as Buffer, Hootsuite or others, have some knowledge of the adobe creative suite, including Photoshop and Premiere Pro (or equivalent tools). You will need to create and provide reports and feedback to the Head of Marketing and senior level management when required.
The role is fast paced with a quick turn around, full of variety with lots of scope to develop skills in an innovative Communications environment.
