Job Description: Graphic Designer – Digital & Print Design, Packaging Design, Photography


Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Graphic Designer with experience in digital design, print design, packaging design and photography to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for creating engaging print and digital marketing assets, visually stunning packaging designs, and captivating photography that resonates with our audience. This role involves a unique blend of digital and print design expertise to enhance our e-commerce platform's visual appeal and overall brand presence online and offline.


Key Responsibilities:


·         Digital Design:

·         Collaborate with the wider marketing team to create digital marketing campaigns that span email, social media, web and video.

·         Be confident in including animation across the digital marketing areas to create eye-catching collateral.

·         Optimize imagery to display properly and sharply across our website.

·         Help create design assets to be used across our digital/video/social channels.

·         Create beautiful emails in marketing leading software to boost sales revenue using mobile-first design and A/B testing.


·         Print Design:

·         Create well laid out print marketing such as, long form brochures and catalogues. Along with shorter form, mailers, handouts, flyers & posters.

·         Collaborate with the wider team to create eye catching designs for the Green People shop.

·         Work with our trade team to design unique point of sale elements, shelf talkers and window displays.

·         Keep internal documents, such as training manuals, company presentations, on brand and up to date.


·         Packaging Design:

·         Design packaging materials, labels, and tags that enhance product value and create a memorable unboxing experience.

·         Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure accurate implementation of the packaging design.

·         Ensure all packaging (labels & boxes) is on brand, and up to standard with current design trends, displays the correct information in a clear and elegant way.


·         Photography:

·         Plan, execute, and edit high-quality product photography that aligns with the brand's identity and tells a cohesive visual story.

·         Create lifestyle and product images that resonate with customers and demonstrate product functionality.

·         Oversee the setup, organisation, and maintenance of the photography studio, ensuring proper equipment functionality and lighting conditions.


·         Brand Identity:

·         Maintain brand consistency across all platforms, ensuring alignment in colour, typography, and design elements.

·         Collaborate with the marketing team to effectively proof all digital, print and packaging design that goes out.


·         Collaboration and Communication:

·         Work closely with marketing, content, and development teams to align design and photography efforts with overall business objectives.

·         Effectively communicate design rationale and concepts to stakeholders.


·         Work and Time Management:

·         Process and log incoming design requests efficiently making sure priority jobs are done in a timely manner.

·         Delegate design tasks between yourself and the Junior Designer and collaborate to achieve great marketing assets.



Qualifications and Skills:

·         A degree in graphic design or a related field is preferable but not essential

·         3+ years’ industry experience.

·         Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

·         Strong portfolio showcasing relevant skills and work.

·         Solid understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout composition.

·         Knowledge of e-commerce trends, mobile-responsive design, and physical product design principles.

·         Creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

·         Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.

·         Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
