We are looking for a Front-End JavaScript Engineer to join us to build the next generation stock-music editing tools online.

Utilising technologies such as Typescript, JS, and WordPress, you will be developing new features for Filmstro's innovative music web app. You will be working closely with the founders (CEO & CTO) on a daily basis as well as liaising with a specialist audio developer as required.

  • Strong knowledge of Modern JavaScript / TypeScript

  • Experience of PHP

Any of these technologies would be a real bonus:

  • VueJS
  • ToneJS

Desirable knowledge in addition to programming languages:

  • Musical understanding (eg playing an instrument / ability to read music)

We also value good initiative and the ability to work well in a team or independently.

  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Options for 3 days a week remote working
  • A great opportunity to learn the latest technology that powers adaptive audio
  • A highly creative, and quiet working environment (ideal for somebody who dislikes large open-plan office work)
  • Opportunity to impact product ownership discussions and shape the direction of a game-changing music tech business
  • Bonus anniversary holiday
  • Excellent central Lewes location, based a short walk from the station, cinema and historic town centre with its quaint eateries and well-known Sussex pubs.
