3D Exhibition Stand Designer - Identity Group

Due to Identity’s continuing success over recent years, we are now looking to recruit a full-time, UK based 3D designer to join our growing team. You will be designing stands for some of the most successful companies in the UK and Internationally.

We are looking for highly organised individuals, who will bring creativity to the team producing 3D models, renders and working drawings. The ability to interpret a client brief, deliver accuracy and maintain strong attention to detail is a crucial element of the role and one which demonstrates Identity’s expertise in the industry.

Candidates must have over three years’ experience in event design and visualisation. Skill set should include the ability to proficiently use industry standard 3D design package(s), to produce 3D models and renders. Previous experience working in the events and exhibition industry is required.

The 3D Designer is expected to produce innovative designs with a strong focus on meeting the client’s brief alongside providing outstanding visuals, renders and working drawings. The person must have a confident and enthusiastic approach to live events and bespoke projects and must be committed to delivering excellent customer service. They must also have a practical approach to the layout and construction of the exhibition stand or installation in order to produce accurate working drawings. On a day-to-day basis, you will work with the wider Design team (including the Head of Creative Services and Creative Director) and Production Managers to deliver successful projects.

Responsibilities:

• Interpreting client or internal briefs from a 3D design brief
• Attending and having input into creative meetings
• Producing 3D models of exhibition stands and other event collateral
• Producing high quality 3D renders of stands and other event collateral
• Producing accurate, clear and concise working drawings of stands, exhibition units/products and other event collateral Work collaboratively with the Design Team asking for input on designs
• Work closely with the Head of Creative Services and Creative Director to request individual elements for a stand such as: a) creative input, b) graphics, c) graphics layouts, d) amends to your models, renders and working drawings

Delivering Quality:

• Delivering a quality product and service whilst maintaining clear, open communication with the client and wider team
• Liaise with client and/or project managers to ensure all briefs are clear and accurate
• Provide updates of design errors to Creative DIrector in order to provide accurate reporting and suggest improvements
• Produce creative designs in conjunction with the Creative Director that aim to exceed client’s expectations
• Keep up to date with current design trends and learn new design methods
• Follow the design peer review process

Scheduling and Billable Hours

• Follow tasks list set in conjunction with the Head of Creative Services
• Communicating work load and any slippage to Head of Creative Services
• Provide regular updates to other managers when required
• Ensure design time does not exceed project allocation with the goal of achieving 80% chargeable hours
• Providing up-to-date advice/knowledge of design techniques to sales and production teams

Production:

• Provide error-free working drawings and graphic layouts with notes to production/suppliers

Other Duties:
