Our team, consisting of accredited accountants, account managers, developers and designers, is based next to Hove station.

Job Description:

As our Content Strategy Manager you will be responsible for defining and maintaining a content strategy that supports business requirements, including increasing awareness of our brand, improving service via content, and encouraging user flow through the customer journey pipeline. The main responsibilities of our Content Strategy Manager are:

• Develop and maintain overall strategy that underpins all content and encourages brand engagement across the client lifecycle.
• Work with the Marketing Campaign Manager to support all planned campaigns with targeted content.
• Manage the Content team, ensuring awareness of the content strategy, assigning resources, and reviewing and prioritising work.
• Report on effectiveness of content strategy through appropriate metrics, including bounce rate, time on page and goals.
• Act as a key brand custodian to ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, supports our key values and is signed off by relevant stakeholders.
• Manage PR agency relationship from a strategic perspective, with the PR & Content Executive supporting from an operational perspective, to develop cohesive strategies and campaigns that raise awareness of the brand and exploit new markets.
• Work with cross departmental stakeholders to better profile the customer base and continually refine personas to enable better content optimisation and personalisation.
• Work with wider marketing team to ensure content is distributed across all relevant channels.
• Work with the Digital Marketing Executive to maintain an up-to-date content audit. Perform regular gap analysis, filtering down actions to relevant team members.
• Manage allocation of content resources to other departments, ensuring work is prioritised and managed in an effective manner.
• Maintain the written style guide, ensuring it accurately reflects our brand values and tone of voice and is distributed and applied consistently across the company.
• Manage external freelancers and associated budget.
• Explore opportunities to expand network of contributors, including identifying industry spokespeople.
• Assist in production of content to support partners.
• Oversee internal content published on the intranet, providing content resources to the Marketing Communications Executive as required.

Person Specification:

Qualifications and experience required to be our Content Strategy Manager include :

• Degree-level qualification in a Marketing or Communications related discipline is desirable.
• At least five years experience in a similar or related role.
• Line management experience required.
• Resource and content planning experience essential.
• Awareness of and proficiency in CMS systems for managing and publishing online content desired.
• Proven ability to build enduring relationships with internal stakeholders, agencies and other third parties.
• Accustomed to regular contact with colleagues up to Director level to promote aspects of the Content strategy.
