Flexgrid is a next generation service provider that’s designed and optimised for the cloud era.  Our network is built using the latest generation of equipment to support the high-speed connectivity required to support both private and public clouds.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for designing and coding a portal (web and apps) where our customers can track their orders and monitor their circuits.

The initial scope is clearly defined around circuit provisioning and monitoring. Through further development and API integration with other systems we are planning to build an number of business lifecycle processes into this platform over the next few years.

 
Skills Range:

The solution will be built around Google Cloud technology (Google App Engine / Cloud SQL/Cloud Spanner / Cloud Functions / CloudIAM and Firebase).

Experience with microservices and serverless architecture would be a benefit.

HTML5, CSS3, Java, Javascript, PHP, Python, etc to support the required platforms above. 

You will need to have awareness of database design principles.

 
Person Specification:

The team at Flexgrid is comprised of experienced network engineers and sales staff. We have worked with a number of developers in the past on a contract basis but you will be the first full time developer to join our team.

You will need to be capable of working independently in a startup environment.

We are looking for a person who is capable of taking ownership of the project and deliver clearly defined deliverables on time and budget.

You will need to be passionate about UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) design, ideally with some experience in both. We prefer simple and minimalistic user interfaces like Google or Meraki.

Additional Information:

Flexgrid is experiencing rapid growth through a number of sales channels. Developing this system will be a key element of managing the growth while maintaining a positive customer experience.  

You will report directly to the Operations Director and you will manage any future staff or sub-contractors required for this platform (unless you prefer not to).
