Hello. We are Brilliant Noise, a digital agency based in central Brighton. We are a strategic marketing partner for global brands.

Job Description:

We're growing our data and insight team! As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for generating customer insight using a variety of qualitative and quantitative data sources, as well as contributing to new and ongoing strategies for clients and new business.

 
Skills Range:

Technical & data:

  • Analyse data using MS Excel to answer research questions.
  • Report on marketing, content and platform success using platform specific data e.g. Facebook Insights, Google Analytics.
  • Deliver social media insight reports using tools such as Brandwatch, Netbase, Radian6 or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of search engine optimisation (SEO) and associated techniques/data.
  • Conduct a range of qualitative desk research for topical trends reports.
  • Develop survey questions, construct, run and analyse surveys.
  • Contribute to our own data analytics tool development and processes, in collaboration with product development teams.
  • Work with your colleagues to develop customer-first evaluation frameworks.
  • It would be beneficial, but not essential, to have experience of statistical programs/languages such as R, MATLAB, or Python, and be able to spot opportunities in research projects to use such statistical methods to add value.

Commercial:

  • Produce website, social media and content audits for client pitches and delivery programmes.
  • Assist with reporting on internal measurement KPIs for Brilliant Noise.
  • Support business development by generating marketing content and PR material from research and analytics reports.
  • Ensure your teams and colleagues are kept up to date on project progress and barriers.

Creative:

  • Problem solve creatively for Brilliant Noise and our clients.
  • Know when to challenge your brief, exposing ambiguity and identifying opportunities to go beyond it.
  • Develop innovative methods for conducting research, analysing data, producing research outputs.

Strategy:

  • Ensure that all of your work embeds strategic thinking and long-term objectives into its methodology and outputs.
  • Identify potential problems and additional opportunities within planned research projects.

Organisational:

  • Take ownership of personal time and portfolio, always staying focused on outcomes and pace of productivity.

Success measures:

  • Work delivered to a high standard and opportunities identified and created.
  • Net Promoter Scores of the client accounts you support.
  • Data/research related case studies and other PR and marketing content produced.
  • Profitability of projects you work on.
 
Person Specification:

Ideally you will have:

  • At least two years of experience working in digital marketing, ideally in a data-focussed role such as analytics, SEO or PPC, in a client- or agency-side role.
  • Education in maths/statistics from A-level or above beneficial but not essential.
  • An interest and aptitude in developing innovative and automated solutions to data and reporting challenges.
  • Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
