Harvey’s Brewery is a family business, spanning eight generations since 1790.

Their award-winning traditional ales are sold throughout the South East. Additionally, the company is a Fine Wine merchant, and own 49 public houses in London and the South East. Their ales, wines and a wide selection of premium and unusual spirits are sold in their Lewes shop and online.

Harvey's has undergone an extensive re-brand of their business in the last 12 months. Expanding their operations nationally in the UK, their marketing aim is to increase brand awareness and drive new business.

Job Description:

Harvey’s Brewery are looking for a passionate digital marketer and social media specialist who is adept at generating and implementing ideas. Working in close collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Manager, and wider marketing team, you will maximise content production, help drive audience acquisition and maximise our digital footprint. You will manage and create a diverse variety of digital and print content aimed at engaging customers.

Key responsibilities;

• Build on and enhance the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube and additional platforms.
• Create, with the wider team, and on your own - digital campaigns, increasing engagement and awareness.
• Provide detailed analytics to implement further marketing strategies
• Ensure overall brand consistency and brand guidelines are maintained
• Explore new ways to engage and identify new social strategies to reach our target audience.
• Produce Email Marketing campaigns using MailChimp
• Manage and assist website content production, including ecommerce.
• Maintain and develop website content to improve visitor experience, and increase online customer acquisition, driving traffic through the use of SMM and Google AdWords.
• Optimise content for search engines and lead generation.
• Create content and materials that communicate new product features and marketing messages for blogs, press, website and ecommerce.
• Work closely with the Sales and Marketing Manager to create and implement new ideas.
• Liaise with external companies to produce marketing materials including sales material.

 
Skills Range:

• Excellent and quality assured copywriting, with a meticulous eye for detail in copy and print work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative suite specifically Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• A good understanding of HTML, WordPress CMS, and preferably WooCommerce.
• Creative and proficient phone photography skills for blogs, and image heavy social platforms such as Instagram.
• An understanding or experience of MailChimp email marketing software would be desirable.
• Some experience in Graphic Design and print production.
• Ability to work quickly to deadlines.
• Creative and skilled in generating ideas for content; resourceful and proactive, utilising a range of approaches to ensure a consistent release of high quality content.
• Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points and convert ideas to practical strategies to present in meetings.
• High levels of integrity, autonomy and self-motivation.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, project management and time-management skills.
• A good eye for digital design.
• Degree educated and two years work experience in a similar role.
• Passion, interest or experience in the brewing or drinks industry, with knowledge of trends, news, and events.
• Flexible and adaptable as the role grows and changes.

 
Person Specification:

The role of the Digital Marketing Executive is dynamic and will need a positive, innovative, engaging, and efficient individual to take the lead. Working to our well-established brand guidelines, you will be tasked with ensuring the Digital Marketing & ecommerce presence of the brand is consistently of a high quality whether in display advertising, social media or on our website.

Ideally candidates will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, have an interest in the brewing or drinks industry, and will be fully engaged and up to date with social media and marketing platforms.
