PLATF9RM is a business community and workspace in Brighton & Hove. PLATF9RM currently has 2 locations: Tower Point (North Laine) and Hove Town Hall. We’ve grown from zero to 750 members in just over 2.5 years, and pleased to have recently opened our new space in the Ground Floor of Hove Town Hall in March 2019.

Job Description:

PLATF9RM is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and detail-oriented individual. You’ll work with our content and marketing team, supporting efforts to drive acquisition—especially with the recent opening of our new space in Hove—digital growth, and brand marketing. Additionally you will be responsible for supporting events across both our Brighton and Hove sites. This role will oversee working closely with the digital and social media team as well as pre and post event coordination.

This role will require an individual who has 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar events and marketing role and you will be someone who has demonstrable experience working with social media, SEO and Google Analytics in a professional environment.We are meticulous and expect you to also have a keen eye for detail.

Desirable skills:

  • Someone with a design background and skilled in use of Adobe design products including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Experience with email marketing systems and CRM programmes.
Person Specification:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with PLATF9RM Team and Events Manager to ensure that members are aware of the events programme.
  • Responding to external event enquiries.
  • Liaising with Events Manager on member events and responsible for adding to internal and external calendars and all other event marketing responsibilities.
  • Act as the lead coordinator at all PLATF9RM events including any larger external booking events—this will require occasional evening events as well.
  • Working with all external hires and local organisers to ensure all events deliver consistent outcomes.
  • Tech/AV assistance at occasional evening/weekend events
  • Oversee event health and safety during set-up and pack down.
  • To assist in the pre-event collation of required event documents, including event hire agreements and set up information.
  • Creating content and regular photography of the space, events, people, moments and Instagram stories and live Tweets from events.
  • Collecting assets needed for all digital platforms. Editing skills an added bonus!
  • Liasing with the Social Media team to deliver assets ahead of time and sitting in on weekly planning meetings.
  • Email marketing.
  • Website updates.
  • Managing our communities across all social media platforms.
  • Responsible for all blog formatting and publishing, ensuring deadlines for each are met on a monthly basis.
  • Having a good time!

Additional Information:

Location: Brighton and Hove
Reporting to: Creative Director
Hours: This position is full time, when an evening or weekend event is taking place, hours will be adjusted to suit.
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience.
